3Design and UX (user experience)

With functionality fully documented within a thoughfully prepared spec. and the wireframes finalised, we layer in the branding elements, colour palettes, and typography that give each site its unique look and feel. The UX isn’t just about the design, its the accumulation of a number of considered choices resulting in a seamless and positive experience for the user.

We have a tried and tested collaborative process utilising the team’s experience, knowledge and creativity which ensures we design a site that delivers against your user’s objectives. We start with the homepage design which gives us a foundation to work from by locking down the core visual elements of the website. Following client approval of this homepage visual we then continue to work alongside the client to produce visuals for the remaining layouts. We do not begin integrating any visual elements until all layouts are approved.

4 Responsive Development

Clean, lightweight and sematic code is written turing the signed off flat visuals into a fully working website.

Additional layers of CSS code are then applied to ensure the website is mobile-friendly. Depending on requirements this will be in the form of either an adaptive or fluid responsive website which allows your website to resize, hide, shrink, enlarge, or move content to provide the optimal viewing experience for the user.

Alongside the front-end coding, server-side development will also be undertaken to integrate the CMS or ecommerce platform. Any bespoke functionality, content migration or advanced configurations outlined within the spec. will also be finalised at this point.
